I photograph you in a place that matters to you — and then I collage that photograph by hand.

Not a studio backdrop. The place you have loved, the house you have lived in, the mountain you climbed together. I bring the camera there, and afterwards I build a collage around the picture from paper, pattern and fragments of history.

What comes back is not just a portrait. It is your family’s story, made visible.

Location shooting, indoors or out — your home, a park you keep returning to, anywhere that holds something for you. I travel to it.

One pair of hands

I take the photographs and I make the collage. The eye that frames the shot is the same one that chooses every fragment pasted onto it.

Made from the things you have kept

For families, I work from the memories and objects you have held onto, and set them into the piece. The collage is built around your history, not a template.

What you receive

• One framed collage work — the finished piece, mounted and ready to hang

How it works

1. Talk — we discuss the place, the people, and what you want the piece to hold
2. Shoot — I come to the location and photograph you there
3. Select — we choose the frame the collage will be built on
4. Make — I build the collage by hand
5. Deliver — the framed work and your photo files

Allow one to two months from the shoot to delivery.

Pricing

¥77,000 (tax included)
Location shoot, 10–20 edited photographs and one handmade collage work.

Framing is extra (around ¥5,500, tax included). Shipping is charged separately.
